Newfoundland Secret Summer Gathering is an arts and music festival based in MidWales. It is a collaboration between Welsh, English and international organisations, and a not-for-profit initiative which aims to create a crossover between the visual arts, literature, live and electronic music.
By building this crossover, the festival aims to develop arts audiences within the 18-35 age group. Seeking to exhibit the work of young people in every medium, in a setting which celebrates and promotes respect of the Welsh landscape, it is designed as an exciting and inclusive festival, showcasing the diversity of youth culture.
The main stages are the Atlatis Stage - which will feature psy-trance, progressive dance, and chill-out, The Muddy stage - which will feature breaks & breakcore, and drum & bass. You can also expect live folk, funk, and reggae bands, literature and spoken word, circus and fire, UV and visual arts gallery.
There will also be stalls, geo-domes, an adult bouncey castle, licensed bar, info exchange, cafes, bonfire, and all the typical festival components.
Live music will include Point Of Origin, Mr Zed, Opaque, Columbian Necktie, Circus, Los Guys, Too Loud For The Legion, Tom Jones (The Hostages), Magic Lamp, and Sinewave. There will be acoustic performances from Piper, Chopper, J Litchfield, Richard Hall, Abi & Stacey, Sarah Bear, Cornelius, and Timothy Edwards (Classical Guitar).
The festival is licensed for 499 people. Tickets cost 25 pounds in advance for the full weekend, including camping and parking. Tickets can be bought from here.
