This one-day free festival features national and local bands sharing the stage against a pithead backdrop, acknowledging the rich industrial heritage of the town while celebrating the best new music that the area has to offer.

The event features a wide range of styles of music including, on the Main Stage: Tom Hingley and The Lovers (with Inspiral Carpets frontman and Steve and Paul Hanley - ex-mambers of The Fall); 4 Day Hombre; Gaia; Hotel Brown; Sukmunki; Lyca Sleep; Idol Minds; Theft of a Doll; The Thin Kings; Cuba; Jon Gomm; Xi; Outroads; Del Fuego; and The Palms.
The line-up on the Urban Stage features live sets from Waxfaxtor; Pacifico Ramirez; Restless and Dixon. There are also DJ sets from: DJ Time; Zolansky DJ; Peter Jnr; DJ Ozzy; Time and Clear; Pocket Dinamo; and Leo and James P.

There's also going to be an Urban aerosol art mural being painted live on the day.

The festival aims to give local bands and musicians the chance to get their music heard. The festival organisers are all volunteers drawn from the local music and business community.
