This year's Abbeyfield Park Multicultural Festival which takes place in Burngreave, Sheffield, South Yorkshire will feature a headline set from Zion Train with special guest Tippa Irie on Vocals.
The festival takes place on Sunday 9th July 2006 and will also feature Bison and Poke, Cohen & the Shatners Basson Band, and Jinx and Manak - E, who feature as part of a Bhangra Showcase with Dhol Drummers and Dancers.
Other entertainment at the festival includes Streetvibes Crew (young people from the community performing street dancing displays), Riddemption, Ellesmere Youth Project (A mixture of singers and dancers who attend the local youth service), Creative Bungreave end of project Showcase (featuring dance, poetry and choir from local artists), and showcases from a Tribal dance school and a Bollywood dance group.
Now entering its eighth year the festival includes kids rides, circus workshops, sporting events, Local Hereoes stage a trading workshop and new for this year a performance stage featuring cabaret and music.
The day starts at 1pm and finishes at 6:30pm and is completely FREE
