A Jolly Day Out takes place over august Bank holiday weekend from Friday 26th until Monday 29th August 2011 at Hampton Court Green, which is opposite Hampton Court Palace, in Surrey.
Line-up
The line-up is as follows:Friday - Imelda May, and supporting her will be Size 9, Parade, and Oh My!.
Saturday - Bjorn Again, and supporting them will be Tankus the Henge, Mamas Gun, and Daniela Brooker.
Sunday - McFly will be supported by AJ, Size 9 and City Stereo.
Monday - Sing-a-long-a Sound of Music, and support acts including Chelcee Grimes, Daniela Brooker and Soul Trigger.
A Jolly Day Out will offer an afternoon of fun packed family foolery each day, as well as a Summer Market, a Royal Tournament, a Sheep Show (Friday and Saturday only), and Pig Racing. Plus plenty more kids entertainment, including Charlie & Lola, Horrible Histories, Roald Dahl Museum, Science Museum, Henry the Apes Arena, circus skills Big Top, arts & crafts, faces painting, a traditional funfair, Moshi Monsters (Saturday and Sunday), and Welly Wanging, to name a few.
Tickets
Tickets are priced at £25 for adult (over 13 years old) day tickets. Please note that any person aged 13-17 must be accompanied by a paying ticket holder aged 21 and over. Tickets are free for those aged 12 years and under. To buy tickets, click here.There will be Pimms, real ales, and Champagne tents as well as food available from Jamie Oliver's Fabulous Feasts, Pizza Express, Maggies Farm, SoulFoods Co and Flaming Cactus to name a few. There will be Summer Market stalls with arts & crafts, gifts & jewellery as well as homemade treats including cakes and fudge.
Getting there
BY ROAD: Hampton Court Palace is situated to the South West of Central London and is close to Kingston Upon Thames. It is 20 minutes from Junction 15, 12 and 10 of the M25. Festival car parking will be extensively signposted on all major approach roads.PARKING: Complimentary parking facilities, a few minutes walk from the Palace are available to festival patrons. Follow the signs. Car Parks will be open from 5.30pm onwards on performance days and until one hour after the end of the performance.
BY RAIL: Hampton Court Palace is only two minutes walk from Hampton Court Station which is served direct to and from Waterloo. A special Festival service is usually arranged for each evening the last train leaving Hampton Court Station at 00.10am after each performance.
