Lewisham People's Day, is south east London's biggest and longest running FREE community festival. The event happens on Saturday 13th July from noon until 8pm in Mountsfield Park, in Catford, London.

Line-up

Green area 

Arrive at the George Lane entrance for a wildly eclectic musical mix on the Bandstand stage including Forest Hill Folk Orchestra, Arthur Lea, Dane Glasby, Jules Phoenix and Remi F, Dos Rosas, Mark Holland, Sonia Anderson, and Trade Winds. See Teatro Vivo’s version of The Tempest in the Rose Garden or drop into the beautiful Indian Canopy to share stories of People’s Day gone by or learn how to make a patchwork quilt. Later listen to some of Lewisham bands, including Jovis, Grande Illusion, The Hertz Complex, Heads Hearts, The Floodliners, Guiltz N Pleasurz.

Yellow area

The Big Top is home to Mat Ricardo’s Variety Show, fresh from the West End. Look out for headline act Musical Youth, plus the unforgettable Ida Barr with her unique bingo session. And, in the Informal Performance Space, don’t miss the Lewisham NHS Choir – as featured on the BBC’s Sing While You Work.

Red area

Don’t miss any of the great line-up on the Lewisham Hub stage, while the young and young at heart will enjoy our Youth Village. And if you fancy some retail therapy, browse round the Craft Market before you grab something to eat or drink.

Blue area

Down by the Carswell Road entrance is the high-energy Dance for Life stage. Challenge your mates to a table-top football tournament, enjoy a Zumba class and see the crazy BMX stunt riders.

Entertainment

The festival is expected to once again be split into four areas and there will be over 25,000 visitors, hundreds of community stalls and organisations, craft stalls from around the globe, performances from outstanding local talent and great entertainment throughout the day.

Getting there

There is no public parking at the event except for Blue Badge parking, which can be accessed via Stainton Road. Visitors are encouraged to walk, cycle or use public transport to get to the event. There are bike park facilities, located by the George Lane park entrance.
