The twelfth annual Pershore Jazz Festival, takes place from Friday 16th to Sunday 18th August 2013 offering a weekend of summer jazz. Located in the grounds of Pershore Horticultural College Campus, over thirty sessions in four venues throughout the weekend will provide an exciting programme of jazz from New Orleans, Traditional, Mainstream and Gypsy Swing to Ragtime and Golden Age with a touch of Modern Jazz to complete the spectrum.
Line-up
Friday: (sessions commence 7.30pm) Chris Pearce's Frenchmen Street Jazz Band, Digby Fairweather's Half Dozen with special guest Val Wiseman  Jazz at the Movies, Ivory & Gold (USA), and Fret & Fiddle.
Saturday: (sessions on the campus commence 11.45am) Eureka Parade Band, Amy Roberts 'Magnificent 7', Brownfield/Byrne Quintet with special guest Digby Fairweather, Julian Stringle & Dominic Ashworth, Val Wiseman with Jeff Barnhart (USA) & John Hallam, Kevin Grenfell's Jazz Giants with Pete Allen, Laurie Chescoe's Reunion Band, Remi Harris Quartet, Krupa Connection, Big Bear Stompers, Adrian Cox Quartet, Blue Monday, Keith Nichols, Reeds United, Sarah Smith Group with Andy Mackenzie.
Sunday: Keith Nichols, Jeff Barnhart, 'Spats' Langham - 'Hostage Favourites' (10.30am), Mardi Gras Parade on campus (11.30am), John Hallam, Amy Roberts, Andy Mackenzie with Tom Kincaid, Hot Fingers with 'Spats' Langham, John Maddocks with Jeff Barnhart and friends, Maggie Reedy with Craig Milverton Trio, John Shillito's Select 6, Dave MoorwoodÂs Rascals Of Rhythm, Keith Nichols, Bohem Ragtime Jazz Band (Hungary), Ivory & Gold (USA), Fresh Dixie Project, Mellow Avstreih - Mellow Tone, Dave Martin's 'Jabbo Five', Pete Allen and 'old friends', and Keith Nichols 'Radio Rhythm'.
Tickets
Tickets are priced at £15 on Friday and £29 per day Saturday and Sunday, with concessions for early booking. Caravan passes are priced at £35 per van/weekend, and camping is £15 per person/weekend. The College Restaurant provides all day snacks and full meals whilst the bar has a range of drinks including locally brewed Real Ale and the College's own cider. The College Plant Centre is again offering a special discount for gardening jazz fans. There is on site caravan and camping and Bed and Breakfast is available in the halls of residence. All within two minutes walk of the music.
