The Pointy Field Faust Fest is a small festival hidden in a secret lakeside location somewhere between Christchurch and Ringwood.

Now in its second year, the festival promises live music (headlined by Black Bart), big balloons, groovy tunes and brilliant people. The dates set aside are Saturday 15th and Sunday 16th of September.

The event has a capacity of 500, and should retain an intimate feel. As well as music there will be unconventional sports [including tug o' war], spontaneous fire breathing, glorious grub (a big bowl of Chilli with a baked spud/rice/bun and a corn on the cob all for just £2) and a plenty of real ales to accompany the standard beverages.

After the live acts a dance tent will keep the music running late into the night. The festival also states that "most importantly, day or night, there'll be a sense of togetherness that the big festivals of today can only reminisce about."

The festival organisers are donating whatever is above the break-even level to the Faustuss International's projects - aiming to improve the quality of life for traditional musicians across Kenya.

Book your place at the event by clicking here or by sending a cheque for £31.00 (this includes £1.00 postage) made out to Faustuss International to:
