Radio One Big Weekend (previously known as One Big Weekend) is a music festival run by BBC Radio 1, held this year in Faenol Park, Bangor, in North Wales. The two day free festival takes place on Saturday 22nd and Sunday 23rd May.
This event is run in a different location within the United Kingdom each time. It is the biggest free live music event in the UK and always includes a host of new artists.
With live music across four stages - The Main Stage, The In New Music We Trust Stage, The BBC Introducing Stage and The Outdoor Stage, the two-day event is licensed to hold 20,000 people per day and the majority of the free tickets go to residents of Bangor and the surrounding area.

Tickets are free and are obtained through a lottery. People wishing to go must register on the BBC website and pairs of tickets will then be allocated. Radio One want to make sure the majority of the tickets go to people who live in Bangor and the surrounding areas.More info
