Now in it's third year Rock Oyster Festival returns to the 17th century Dinham House near Wadebridge, in the Cornish countryside to offer music, oysters, mussels, and fun from Friday 22nd until Sunday 25th June 2012.
Line-up
The line up features a number of high profile music acts including Friday night headliners the Dub Pistols, The Bees headlining Saturday, and Charlotte Church headlining the Sunday. DJs Hong Kong Ping Pong, as well as Yes Sir Boss, London Afrobeat Collective, Crowns, Phillip Henry & Hannah Martin, Ryan O'Reilly, Rozi Plain, Matthew P, Neil Halstead, This is the Kit, Spot the Dog, Hope Road, Funky Acoustica, Biere De Luxe, Damp Rats, Veller Lia, Tom New, Fire Island Pines, The Raise, Slinky Minsky, Voiceworks, St Minver Silver Band, and Maisie, will also be on the stage; highlighting the eclectic musical mix on offer with a Silent Disco also confirmed for the first two nights.Tickets
An adult weekend ticket is priced at £50 including rustic camping or £56 with posh camping, an under 17 years child weekend pass is priced at £10 or £18 with posh camping. A festival only, no camping ticket is priced at £40 or £10 for those aged under 17. To buy tickets, click here.Promoted as a midsummer celebration of food, music and art, visitors to the festival eat their way through thousands of Cornish oysters. As well as oysters there's live music, circus acts, children's entertainment, alternative performing arts and a shopping bazaar.
Chefs
For the first time the festival will feature the Flying Fish chefs' theatre where some of Cornwall's best culinary talents will take to the stage. These include James O'Connor, Tom Scade, Paul Ainsworth, Stephane Delourme, David Sharland, Peter Murt, Andy Appleton, Neil Haydock, James Nathan, and Annie Sibert. Festival goers will also be able to watch the chefs compete in the oyster shucking competition. As well as demonstrations, a wealth of Cornwall's food and drink producers are also on site.br />Camping
Rustic Camping will be available in the camping field adjacent to the festival site. Rustic means that there will be festival W/C facilities and a standpipe for water essentials (not drinking water) and that is all.Posh camping at the Rock Oyster Festival will be at Dinham Farm Caravan and Camping Park which is located immediately adjacent to the Festival Car Park field. All usual campsite facilities are available including piped classical music in the toilet blocks.
Campervans must be registered with havefun@rockoysterfestival after purchasing camping tickets, there will be no extra charge but dedicated campervan space is limited.
