With a projected audience of 25,000 people and taking place on the streets of Hitchin, this festival is organised by local volunteers, and funded by sponsorship, grants, stall lets, and merchandise sales.
The aim of the festival is to provide a bridge of common interest between different age, race, ability and economic groups through community activity. It aims to be a 'world' music festival of cultural exchange on a local as well as international level.
There is a wide variety of musical entertainment available involving the collaboration of many groups in the community, with as many as 140 performances and over 700 performers on eight stages. With art and childrens activities, craft and world food stalls as well as music, there should be something for everyone to enjoy.
