Set in a parkland area in the centre of Hitchin in Hertfordshire, the festival offers rock, pop, folk, reggae, jazz and classical music from the local area and around the world. An event for all ages and musical tastes, you'll be hard pushed to find a better value day out.

Line-up

The headliners will be Junior Murvin, and JuJu. also confirmed are Jassi Sidhu, The Boxettes, Speech Debelle, Molotov Jukebox, The Damned, Eastside Jimmy, Tom Hingley, Young Knives, Edgar Broughton, The October Game, My Passion, Blair Dunlop, Soumik Datta and Bernhard Schimpelsberger present Circle of Sound, with many more to be announced. Music will be playing on all the stages from 12noon till 11pm on Saturday, and 12noon till 9pm on Sunday.

Tickets

Tickets for either day are priced at £10 for adults and £5 for children (aged 6-17 years). Free for 5 years and under. To buy tickets, click here.

Disabled festival-goers also benefit from a 2-for-1 ticket deal where anyone who is in receipt of Disability Living Allowance or who is a blue badge holder is entitled to bring a friend or carer free.

As 2012 is the 11th anniversary of the International Year of Volunteer, organisers also hope to recruit even more volunteers to help before and during the festival.

The ROTW committee is keen to make the event as enjoyable and safe as possible. Thanks to some careful financial planning by the charity in recent years, improvements will be made following direct feedback from festival-goers. This year these will include an increase in the number of toilets, improved trackway for disabled access and improved security.

Organisers are also planning to make future festivals 'greener' by increasing and improving recycling facilities.

Accommodation

This event does not have camping but there are a number of hotels, hostels and guest houses in the area.

More information will be here when available.
