The Reggae & Vibe Beach Fest has been cancelled. All ticket holders will be refunded in full.

Concerns about noise levels, beach camping and the closure of the beach for this event have resulted in the event's cancellation.

Festival organisers are now looking at a a local airfield near Stratford Upon Avon to host the event in May 2011.

Reggae & Vibe Beach Fest is a new reggae festival to be held at Ingoldmells, in Lincolnshire a three and a half miles of beach just 3 miles north of Skegness. The new Reggae festival is to take place from Friday 16th until Sunday 18th July 2010.

Line-up

The first confirmed acts are ASWAD, Chaka Demus & Pliers, Dave & Ansel Collins, The Dennis Bovell Dub Band, Natty Wailer, Third World, Dawn Penn, The Desmond Dekker Band, Carl Bradshaw, and more. There are still more acts to be confirmed for the main stage and a marquee for dub & bashment reggae and the other for new reggae live acts. Toots And The Maytals will not now be appearing.

Tickets

A limited amount of 'early bird' tickets are on sale, until the end of March, priced at £120 per ticket, and for those that are able to purchase an early bird ticket, this will allow you to access the beach on Thursday for a pre-night of drinks, food and DJs in the marquee. The full price for a 3 day beach camp will be £145 with day tickets £60.

Camping

There will be beach camping and also next to our beach are 25,000 holiday caravans for hire, and also the first ever Butlins fun park that was built is at one end of the beach and offers up market accommodation.

Amenities

Along with all the usual amenities such as toilets and showers, there will be a varied mix of food outlets, and stalls.

Food

The festival will have an area dedicated to Caribbean food, with demonstrations in Caribbean cooking and food items on sale.

Ethos

The festival organiser hope to represent an event that people can enjoy offering sand, sea, sun, and reggae music for the soul.

Local area

The venue is situated next door to Butlins and Fantasy Island which is one of the biggest fun parks in the UK which hosts a half mile of fun arcades that run both sides of the road that leads onto the beach.

You must be 18 or over to attend this festival. Please be aware that a 'Challenge 25' Proof of Age scheme will be operated. Anyone attempting to purchase alcohol (or other minimum 18 restricted product) or enter the event that appears under the age of 25 years will be asked for proof of age.
