SOLAM festival 2011

The third annual SOLAM festival will be taking place this year at Roves Farm, in Swindon from noon on Saturday 6th until 11pm on Sunday 7th August 2011.

Line-up

This year there's a very special feature for the event on the Saturday, organisers will be re-creating the daddy of all festivals, WOODSTOCK! With tributes to Melanie, Crosby, Stills & Nash, Johnny Winter, Santana, Janis Joplin, Joe Cocker etc. The evening will finish with a set from Who's Next and Blues guitarist Innes Sibun will close the show as Hendrix.

Saturday: Mantrasphere, Alphabet Backwards, The Listening Device, The Shudders, The Hamsters From Hell, The Porn Issue, Rumour Shed, Grubby Jack.

Saturday Evening - Woodstock Homage: Zoe Mead as Melanie Safka, Tiggy York as Janis Joplin, Phlemmy Kilmeister as Joe Cocker, Ian O'Regan as Johnny Winter, Mark Johnson as Carlos Santana, Acoustic Knights as Crosby, Stills & Nash, Who's Next as the Who, Innes Sibun as Jimi Hendrix.

Sunday: The Debuts, Coach, Things That Blink, Reachback, The Fixed, Control The Storm, Carmen, Sky Burns Red, Dirt Royal, Nudy Bronque, Earl Jam, Sloe Jam, Bateleurs, Talis Kimberley, The Jess Hall Band.

Tickets are priced at £10 per day, or £20 for the weekend including camping. To buy tickets, click here.

Camping

There will be camping which must be pre-booked, it's free only for pre-booked places as organisers will need to know how many are coming.

On site

There will also be workshops, Trade stands & stalls etc.

The Summer of Love and Music festival was set up as an event by a singer/songwriter called J.C. Leonard with proceeds going to charity.
