The sixth Southburgh Festival of World Music takes place on Saturday 2nd August 2014. It is located just south of Dereham, at Burton Manor Barns about 20 minutes from the city of Norwich.

Line-up

Latest additions are OutathaBlues, Akabella, Raizes De Africa and Doohickies.

They join Myles Sanko, Folk band Farlenders, Horo Trio, and Stranger Culture with festival’s organiser, Anna Mudeka, performing with the band.

Over night camping is available. An adult ticket is priced at £20 with overnight camping, or £15 with no camping. A child (aged 6-16 years) ticket is priced at £7, with under 5’s able to attend for free. Campers can access site from 10.30am.

There will also be a range of musical workshops and fun family activities. Children and adults of all ages are encouraged to take part in the workshops and engage in performances.

Charity

The festival, which is now in its sixth year, is the brainchild of musician Anna Mudeka – the founder of Norfolk charity The Mudeka Foundation. Proceeds from ticket sales will help rebuild and furnish a dilapidated high school building in the village of Muda, in Zimbabwe.
