Southern Fried Festival 2011

Now in its fourth year, Southern Fried is Perth's Annual Festival of American Roots Music, held from Friday 22nd until Sunday 24th July and will feature a blistering line-up of Americana from home and abroad.

Venues

Held in Scotland's newest major performance venue, the Perth Concert Hall, Perth Theatre, and other venues in Perth & Kinross, Scotland, and all Southern Fried venues are entirely walk able from one to the other!

Line-up

Thursday: Southern Fried Launch Party with Wang Dang Delta at The Twa Tams.
Friday: The Blind Boys of Alabama plus special guest Iris Dement,Justin Townes Earle, Abigail Washburn And The Village.
Saturday: Gospel Big Sing with the Gospel Truth Choir, Stuart Nisbet with Dean Owens, Red Pine Timber Company, Southern Tenant Folk Union, Iris Dementplus special guest Dean Owens, Lyle Lovett and His Acoustic Group, Raul Malo, Savoy Family Cajun Band, Western Swing Brunch with Rancho Rebop and The Full Moon Howlers, Star Wheel Press, Samantha Crain, STAX! featuring Steve Cropper, Donald 'Duck' Dunn and Eddie Floyd and special guests Phantom Limb.

And the Southern Fried crew is cooking up a sizzling selection of workshops, late night clubs, kids events and finger lickin' food for this super-sized slice of Americana with a warm Scottish flavour.
