Spirit of Folk is a small camping festival set against the backdrop of Dunderry Park, Co. Meath from Friday 19th to Sunday 21st of September. It's a family friendly weekend which celebrates all things folk! 2014 is its fourth year running and the Oaktree Charitable Trust is very proud to host this event.
Line-up
Bands from Folk, Trad, Bluegrass and Country influences will grace the stages including Members of Kila, Tupelo, Dan Walsh, In Their Thousands, Dan Amor, Emerald Armada, Owensie, Carriages, Lynched, Bunascionn, DANI, Leading Armies, Coscan, Mo Hat Mo Gheansaí, Juhn Echo, Liam Quinn, Stephen James, Na Tonnta, Wicker Bones, Corner Boy, Catherine Hatt, Oisin McCole, Laura Ann Brady, Ailbhe Reddy, Elm, Darren Lynch, Rob Corcoran, Tommy Hayes and Mattu Noone, and Old Hannah

Early bird tickets are priced at 65 euros for the weekend with camping, and full price 70 euros.

As well a musical performances attendees can expect Living History, storytelling in a replica Cairn, Experimental Archeology, Celtic Games, Falconry & Archery, Soul Seminars Tent with Yoga, Dance & Inspirational Talks, Holistic Healing Area, Outdoor Theatre, The Night Sky - Astronomy Demonstrations, Late Night Tents with Dance& Magic at the Hall of Heroes, and a Kids Area with storytelling, discos, arts & crafts.
The festival is a holistic event, which celebrates all aspects of ancestral traditions, including folk music, storytelling, folk living and folk games, and brings to life many of the traditional crafts of old, with costumed craftsmen running workshops on long forgotten skills.
There will also be small scale re-enactments of some of the famous battles from celtic history.
