Stop Making Sense is a brand new, international music festival with a capacity of 2,000 held from Friday 3rd to Sunday 5th September 2010 at The Garden, Petrcane, in Croatia. Showcasing live acts & DJs in the sunshine and under the stars, Stop Making Sense brings London, Glasgow & Paris club & concert promoters to the beachside location.

SMS is curated by music lovers and promoters Need2Soul, C.A.M.P, Swap-A-Rama,D eviation, Optimo, Subclub, Sud Electronic, Secretsundaze, Movimientos, Warm, Fact, Don't Panic, Favela Chic, Allez Allez, and Fantasy Island. The music on offer will range from techno to Latin and African beats via jazz, soul, funk, house & disco.

Location
SMS is situated on a woody peninsula in the village of Petrçane on the Adriatic coast of Croatia. The area offers great value family-run restaurants, villas by the beach, and many small hotels & campsites.SMS organisers Chris Greenwood (Cargo founder & former Big Chill director) & Alex Ruello (need2soul) said, "We are delighted to have found such a brilliant spot to put on our first event, combining great weather, excellent value transport + accommodation, superb food & hospitality. The facilities are top notch, the villagers super friendly... and sunshine virtually guaranteed. We couldnt really have asked for more!"
Boat Parties
Boat party tickets are limited to just 200 per boat & are available for £10. DJs are set to blast each day with a feast of sunshine beats with the captains for the music side of confirmed as Movimientos (Friday 13.30 - 16.30, Allez Allez (Friday 19.00 - 23.00, Fact/Bumbox Special (Saturday 13.30 - 16.30), Favela Chic (Saturday 19.00 - 23.00), Warm (Sunday 13.30 - 16.30), Sub Club (Sunday 19.00 - 23.00), and John Power Jr. (Slutty Fringe).Accommodation
This festival does not offer camping. There are a few small campsites in Petrčane, all within a short walk from the festival and all by the sea. There are also plenty of other accommodation available in the area.Getting there
Ryanair flights are currently £120 return into Zadar, 20 minutes away from the site, this is truly a bargain from start to finish. Next closest airport is Split (90 minutes away) with Easyjet direct flights from London Gatwick & Stansted, Bristol, Amsterdam, Berlin, Paris, Rome, Milan, Basel & Geneva.Zadar is also on the international rail network.
A bus from Zagreb to Zadar will cost approximately 15.
