The fourth annual Northampton Community Drum Healing Music Festival Summer Retreat takes place at The Overstone Scout Grounds, Northamptonshire, and offers a weekend for helping the mind, body and soul and also your health and well being over three days on Saturday 23rd Sunday 24th August 2014.
Line-up
Saturday: Esme Eva, Jordan Jones, Dan Hughes Trio, Rosie May, HazeyJane, Dubvocaliza, and headliners Inta Africa.
Sunday: Tim Brophy, Fatbwoi, Gezzi B & His Band, Jet Black Blues Band, Zoe Bestel, Real Live Owls, and headliners Dubvocaliza.
There will be two full days of music across both stages. Everything is intended to be low key and easy going with lots of little workshops, jamming and talking. There will be no large PA systems or laser lit stages, its just a nice and easy gathering of people, with a small PA and lots of acoustic stuff.
Activities
The activities include such things as native american flute playing and workshops, African drum workshops, didgeridoo workshops and all types of holistic therapies such as sound baths, reiki, massage, health and well being therapies and talks plus lots more etc.
Tickets
This is a ticket only event, there will be no tickets available on the gate.
An weekend tent camping festival ticket for adults is priced at £40, a weekend ticket for children aged under 15 years is priced at £10. There are wooden lodges onsite: with bunk beds onsite for £5 extra per person for the whole weekend. No additional costs for parking or campervans.
Day tickets are priced at £20 for Saturday , and an overnight stay is priced at £10 to stay onsite Saturday night to 10am Sunday, either camping or in one of the communal lodges.

The weekend is for relaxing or taking part and learning a few new skills coupled with the option of simply stopping and doing nothing at all should you wish. Venues include the Grassland Stage covering all music genres, and the Portable Stage with acoustic and public open mic slots. There are also Healing Practitioners including Complimentary Therapies, Healing Sound-Reiki-Massage-etc, Drumming Workshops, Drum Circles, Soundscapes, and Gong Baths. Plus workshops, circus skills, woodland walks, poetry, comedy, demonstrations, as well as many other activities including Reiki, massage, health and well being therapies and lots of alternative workshops on offer.

The location offers grassy fields and woodlands. The venue is secure and children friendly, it also has proper brick built toilet and shower block facilities onsite! No dogs allowed under any circumstances!
