Summer Sets On The Beach has been cancelled.

A statement from organisers says:

"A number of contributing factors have lead to the cancellation, not least being the tough economic climate resulting in poor ticket sales.
The organisers would like to thank North Somerset Council and everyone who has supported the event.

It is with great difficulty and disappointment this decision has had to be made."

Summer Sets On The Beach is a new summer beach party taking place at Royal Sands beach, in Weston-super-Mare, Somerset that takes place on Saturday 31st August 2013.

Line-up

The first acts confirmed are Professor Green, Gabrielle Aplin, Stooshe, The Strypes, and Stars from The Big Reunion including 5ive.

Tickets

Tickets are priced at £45, or £65 for golden circle, plus VIP options.

Televised

ITV will be screening the event live on ITV2, followed by a one hour special on ITV. Music lovers can also expect some favourite ITV faces to be donning their flip-flops and heading to the beach for the show. The event will be hosted by Caroline Flack and Dave Berry, and will include celebrity guests including some of the cast of TOWIE.

Parking

The parking is at Royal Sands beach and will be open at 6am. The Summer Sets On The Beach parking is signed from J21 and J22 of the M5 and on the A371. Visitors are advised not to use sat navs as they will lead to a road closure. Parking is priced at £10 for the day. The following areas will be open for parking: Royal Sands beach, Uphill beach, Hampton car park, Knightstone car park, Melrose car park, Grove car park, NCP, Royal Hotel and Sovereign Centre car parks open as usual.

The following car parks will be closed: Madeira car park, Locking Road short stay and long stay (only for use by National Express coaches. Other coaches can drop off in the coach stop but cannot park and wait. They are being directed to the car park on the Oldmixon estate), and Railway Station car park.

Accommodation

This event does not have camping but there are a number of hotels, hostels and guest houses in the area.
