This festival features several different gigs with acclaimed national and international blues musicians playing at a variety of venues around the picturesque seaside town of Swanage, on the South West coast of England. The 13th edition of the event takes place from Friday 1st to Sunday 3rd March 2013.
All sorts of styles are represented such as acoustic, electric, rural and urban blues.

Artists booked so far: Andy Grant Trio, Assorted Buskers, Back Porch, Blind Lemon Gliders, Blue Touch, Blues Machine, C Sharp Blues, Dan Sowerby Band, David Raphael Band, Fabulous Fezheads, Hugh Budden, Jam Sessions with Robin Bibi Band, Jason Manners & 3 Buck Shirt, Jawbreakers, Jay Tamkin, Johnny Sharp, Jon Walsh, Lewis Cohen, Milton-Farrow Skiffle 'n' Blues Band, Motel 6, Mustangs, Open Mic Sessions with Johnny Sharp and Martin Froud, Paint It Blue, Riotous Brothers, Riverside Blues Band, Robert Hokum & The Devil Drives, Robin Bibi Band, Saiichi Sugiyama Band, Stan's Blues Jamboree, Steamer, Steve Darrington, Tim Harrison, Tin Cats, Tommy Allen & Johnny Hewitt, Will Killeen, Zoe Schwarz and Blue Commotion, with more to come.
There will be 100+ acts playing 50+ gigs in 20 indoor venues, all with free admission.
There are open mic sessions every afternoon and usually a Blues Steam Train ride plus dancers, street musicians, jam sessions (Saturday and Sunday), buskers, Gospel Service, and workshops.
There's now an extra gig on the Thursday evening this time: at the Grand Hotel with Robert Hokum. And due to structural alterations at the East Bar, the Fabulous Fezheads will perform on Saturday afternoon to the Ship Inn, High Street, Langton Matravers, a mile or so outside of Swanage. The Blues Machine have had to pull their Sunday early evening gig at the East Bar and are being replaced by Steve Summers Band.
Wristbands
Organisers have had to discontinue the bucket collections due to problems with red tape, health & safety and insurance issues... so they are selling weekend wristbands instead as a pledge and a symbol of the attendees commitment these are priced at £10 for a weekend wristband.
Accommodation
Accommodation is available from around £20 per person per night in the town itself.
