Sziget Festival, takes place on "Old-Buda Island", an island in the Danube, in the heart of Budapest, Hungary. Taking place in August, the festival started as a local event in 1993 playing host to various Hungarian artists and has grown into a large European festival, showcasing over a thousand shows across 60 stages, including some of the biggest names out there, to nearly half a million daily visitors, half of which come from outside Hungary.

While music is an important part of Sziget, art is also a core lement of the festival. There are multiple venues including a circus, theater, museum quarter. Artists and performers come from all over the world.

The 2024 edition will take place over 6 days from Wednesday the 7th until Monday the 12th of August.

Early bird full 6-day festival pass for Euro 269 will go on-sale for 48 hours on the 26th of October at 7PM

21&U festival pass is priced at Euro 209. 21&U is their newest addition to the ticket portfolio for those born on or after the 7th of August 2002.

Sziget Festival is cashless. At the festival you can only pay for drinks, food and any other product by using their cash-free, wirstband system. You can top up your wristband balance via the Sziget app, on the Sziget website (using your festival account) or at designated Festipay points. You can also use your contact less ban-card and any payment enabled device (phone, smartwatch)
