Towerfest is an annual country music festival held in the grounds of Drax Power Station, in Yorkshire. Now in it's eighth year the event offers festival goers the chance to relive the wild wild west for three days from Friday 20th to Sunday 22nd June 2014. Three days of country music and line dancing with thirteen live acts plus DJ and Compere to keep it all in full swing. Camping and caravanning facilities available on site.

Saturday: Lucy Ellie, Texakana, The Bounty Hunters Band, Little Rock, The Gary Quinn Band, John Permentor & Little Rock.

Sunday: Trey Jackson, Luke & Mel, Chasin The Wind, Next Of Kin, The John Taylor Band, Gary Perkins And The Breeze.

A Full Weekend Pass is priced at £40, a Saturday & Sunday ticket is priced at £38. A Friday Night only ticket is priced at £5, with a day ticket for Saturday or Sunday only are priced at £19. Live in vehicle passes are priced at £20.

This will be the eighth Towerfest festival and it becomes more and more popular each year. The festival offers a chance to join their westerners in a competitive shootout, rifle shooting, knife throwing, horse shoe throwing and much more. With all the proceeds from their events going to a nominated charity.

Before the last act on the Sunday evening the westerners march into the arena in full military uniforms to perform a traditional commemoration to the American Civil War.

Many trade stands surround the arena with authentic western goods and trinkets. The site also has a fully licensed club.

Day visitors will be made welcome on the gate Saturday and Sunday but can save money by booking in advance.
