Tribal Gathering have not been seen on the event circuit since 1997 and are using the same holiday camp venue as the Southport Weekender crew, teaming up with them to produce what is expected to be an intimate event with quality music production using 5 rooms to cater for every taste of dance and atmosphere.
The Friday night line-up includes: Deep Dish, X-Press2 and Sander Kleinberg in the main 'Are you tribal?' room, holding up to 2000 people. Thomas Bangalter & DJ Falcon (together), Cassius and Greg Vickers can be found in the 'Tribal sessions room', designed to be "hot...loud...and dark'. Dave Clarke, Justin Robertson and Jon Carter can also be found on Friday night in the 'Feathers and Facepaint' room which you can expect to be more techno-orientated.
On Saturday, during the day, Grandmaster Flash and Avalanches' DJ Dexta can be found presenting hip hop sessions. Sasha, Layo and Bushwacka! and James Zabiela will be found in the same room on Saturday night whilst Derrick Carter brings Chicago beats to 'Tribal sessions'. Tom Stephan and Futureshock are going to be with the 'Feathers and Facepaint' crowd. Stanton Warriors, Plump DJs and Greg Vickers are expected in the Soap Bar Room for Saturday night breakbeat blips.
The music continues on Sunday afternoon. The Tribal Sessions Room will be offering up acid house classics and Umek will feature among others in the Feathers and Facepaint room.
There's a 24 hour bar, amusement arcades, games room, swimming pool, Tribal TV and other stuff to keep your non-dancing time occupied as well as free car parking, on site shops, restaurants, snack bars, take-aways and merchandise stalls and a 24 hour taxi service on hand.
