The 23rd Wacken Open Air takes place in the small town of Wacken in Schleswig-Holstein, northern Germany. The festival will take place over 3 days from Thursday 2nd to Saturday 4th August 2012.

Tickets

Tickets were priced at 140 euro (approx £120), and for the seventh year running have sold out.

Wacken is located 10 km north of Itzehoe and 50 km north/west of Hamburg.

Camping is available on several large camping grounds surrounding the festival arena.
