The 24th Wacken Open Air takes place in the small town of Wacken in Schleswig-Holstein, northern Germany. The festival will take place over 3 days from Thursday 1st to Saturday 3rd August 2013.

Tickets

For the eighth year in a row tickets for this event have sold out, they sold out in just 2 months and were all gone before the end of October, the resale has also sold out. They were priced at 150 euro (approx £120).

Wacken is located 10 km north of Itzehoe and 50 km north/west of Hamburg.

Camping is available on several large camping grounds surrounding the festival arena.
