For the third year Wakefield's Blues Festival will be held in music pubs across Wakefield, West Yorkshire from Wednesday 28th October until Sunday 1st November 2009 and will feature local bands and bands from across Yorkshire.

There will be eight or nine bands playing in various venues across Wakefield. Most of the gigs are free admission with two exceptions - they are from the U.S.A Catfish Keith who appears upstairs at The Hop on Friday 30th and admission is £11. Saturday 31st sees the historic Chantry Chapel host a performance by Jon Gomm and Wakefield's Peculiar Blue. Tickets are priced at £3.

Others gigs include The Deal, The Wires, Shrood, Voodoo Van Boogie, Tony Foster Band, Jed Thomas Band, Hummingbird Blues Band, Blues Positive, all coming to a conclusion with Welsh T Band.

Sun 01 Henry Boones - Final Blue Festival gig: Featuring The Welsh T Band and The Deal - FREE - 8 pm start till late.

Supported by Wakefield Music Collective, this is a fundraising Event organised and staged by Kate Honeyman and other members of Wakefield Music Collective to raise funds towards Clarence Park Free Music Festival next summer. Most gigs are free entry but donations and raffle tickets will be on sale.
