For the fifth year Wakefield Music Collective presents Wakefield's City Rhythm & Blues Festival will be held in music pubs across Wakefield, West Yorkshire from Wednesday 2nd until Sunday 6th November 2011.
Line-up
Chris Hanks,Tony Foster Band, Tim Graham and the Black Cats, The DEAL, Diamond Dac, Tom Doughty, Duncan Wood, Blues Jam Session with Mick Dixon, Terry John and Mike Shaw, Hummingbird Blues Band, Gav Coulson Band, The Blue Niks, Sneakin' Suspicion and Headliners The Hamsters play Wakefield Cathedral.Tickets
There will be 12 bands playing in various venues across Wakefield. All of the gigs are free admission (but donations will be welcome) except for The Hamsters on Friday 4th November @ Wakefield Cathedral.Tickets for The Hamsters are priced at £12 each or £13 on the door. Fri 4th Wakefield Cathedral Headlining Gig with The Hamsters on 25 year Farewell Tour, (tckts £12 adv, £13 on door)
Followed by After Show Party @ Fernandes Brewery Tap, Avison Yard, Wakefield featuring The DEAL- 10pm start, free entry
Sat 5th @ The Green Room Café, Wakefield Theatre Royal Diamond Dac - 2pm to 4pm free entry
Sat 5th @ Chantry Chapel Tom Doughty, Acoustic & vocals Duncan Wood - 6pm to 8pm (* ring to reserve places - small Chapel venue) £3 admission.
Sat 5th @ The Red Shed (Labour Club) Blues Jam session run by Mick Dixon, Terry John and Mike Shaw, 9pm start till late - free entry
Sun 6th FESTIVAL FINALE @ The Bull & Fairhouse ( formerly O' Donoghues) 4pm to 9pm ( Free Entry) featuring Hummingbird Blues Band, Gav Coulson Band, The Blue Niks, Sneakin' Suspicion.
