Whitby Folk Week is a long-standing celebration of the traditional music, dance and song of the British Isles has taken on the trappings of a tradition in its own right.

With over 600 events covering workshops, concerts, singarounds, dances, sessions, street entertainment and the extensive 'fringe' events that blossom spontaneously. The event takes place from Saturday 18th to Friday 24th August 2018.

Line-up

Confirmed acts include Red Hippo, Carolyn Robson & Moira Craig, The Melrose Quartet, Pete Morton, Alan Bell, Alistair Anderson, Archie Fisher, Benammi Swift, Bob Wood, Brian Peters, Bryony Griffith & Will Hampson, Dan Quinn, Dan Walsh, and more, with many more still to be announced.

Tickets

Tickets are on sale, priced at £194 for the week for an adult, or £244 for the week with camping. 
Tickets are also available from Monday to Friday as day tickets for £54 each day for an adult, as well as joint Saturday/Sunday tickets for £74.
Student and junior tickets are also available for all ticket types.

Camping

The Festival sets up a temporary campsite each year for festival season ticket holders. The temporary campsite will be in operation for the week of the Whitby Folk Week at Airy Hill School, Waterstead Lane, in Whitby.It is a basic site on a school playing field, but water, showers and toilet facilities are available.

Please note that dogs will not be allowed on the campsite.
