Whitwell Festival of Music is a small village festival, now in its 8th year, happening in and around the Community Centre, Whitwell which is in north Derbyshire.

The 2016 festival will take place from Friday 9th until Sunday 11th September.

Nizlopi, Sham 69, Leatherat, Funke & the Two Tone Baby, The Bar Steward Sons of Val Doonican, Parson's Lot, Black Thorn, Star Botherers, Jungle Lion, Ben Miles, Nobody's Heroes, The Leathernecks, Morris & Watson, Porch Lizards, Brian Stone, Northern Monkey, Tom McCartney Band, Martin Black, Steve Roberts & the Visitors, Back to Verona, Schrodingers Strings, Taxi For Bob, Benjamin Bassford plus more to come.

The festival offers 3 stages indoor and outdoor (2 music plus spoken word stage), real ales and ciders, caterers, craft stalls, workshops.

An adult weekend ticket is priced at £24, a youth weekend ticket are priced at £12, an adult Saturday only ticket is priced at £12, a youth Saturday only ticket is priced at £6. Weekend camping (limited availability) is priced at £12 - £16 per unit depending on size. There will only be 250 weekend tickets available. The main day (Saturday) has a capacity of 900.

Camping

Camping is available on a basic site 2 minutes walk from the main festival.

The festival is organised and run by volunteers, and proceeds from ticket sales are donated to local community groups.

The festival also offers real ales, caterers, craft stalls, workshops and open mic opportunities.
