Wigan International Jazz Festival is now in its twenty sixth year and takes place over four days from Thursday 14th until Sunday 17th July 2011 at Lowri Beck Celebration Hall, in Wigan, Lancashire.

Line-up

Thursday: Wigan Youth Jazz Orchestra with Steve Waterman, The Ryan Quigley Big Band in a Tribute to Maynard Ferguson.
Friday: John Law Trio, AJ Brown and his Band, Clare Teal and Her Trio.
Saturday: Geoff Eales Quartet with Neil Yates, Andreas Varady & David Lyttle with David Lyttle Trio, Wigan Jazz Club Big Band with special guest Alan Barnes.
Sunday Darius Brubeck Quartet, Laurence Cottle Big Band, Pete Cater Big Band (Tribute to Buddy Rich)

Masterclasses -10am till 12 noon
Thursday: Michael Janisch & Patrick Cornelius Improvisation, Masterclass with Wigan Youth Band Big Band
Friday: Ryan Quigley Trumpet Masterclass
Sunday: Pete Cater with 'Get into swing drumming'

Seminars - 10am till 11.00am
Friday: The Empress Orchestra presented by Ashley Frohlick
Saturday: My Favourite Saxophone players by Alan Barnes
Sunday: 'Dave Brubeck - a life in Jazz in the 20th Century' by Darius Brubeck.
