The Wild Heart Gathering is held twice a year with this five day event happening over the Beltaine from Friday 20th April until Monday 3rd May 2010, with the other expected to be held over the autumn equinox. The Wild Heart Gathering takes place on the weald of Sussex at Colin Godmans Farm, Perrymans Lane, Furners Green, Uckfield, East Sussex.

Wild heart is a fantastic event, full of opportunities for individuals and families to experience camping outdoors in the beautiful landscape, with ancient forests, lakes and rolling meadows.

Line-up

There are no acts confirmed yet for 2010.

The May's gathering will include Barn dancing, latino, Conscious reggae, bluegrass, flamenco, Gypsy ska, Cabaret, Mongolian, Persian & Ecstatic music & poetry from Central Asia.

Tickets

Adult early bird tickets are on sale until March 21st priced at £60 (1st 100 tickets), then £65 (next 200). The normal price will be £75 for the 4 days. Youth tickets are priced at £25,and under 5s can attend for free. There are also family tickets available. Adult Sunday day tickets are priced at £25. To read ticket details, click here.

The Gatherings don't have big name acts it's more geared at families, groups and individuals for adventure, fun, celebration, and transformational learning. Wild heart offers live music, and a wide range of workshops, food, dance, theatre, performance, films and more.

Workshops and skills

The workshops range from yoga to martial arts, meditation to divine singing, bushcraft to storytelling, and during the weekend there is the opportunity to learn wilderness survival skills, such as fire making, shelter building, wild food walks and tracking.

Wild heart brings together a wide range of skills, wisdom & integral perspectives from around the world, offering festival goers a chance to relax, be creative, dance, sing, sit around fires listening to music, go swimming in the the lakes & be at ease with like minded people in a beautiful part of the country.

Kids area

There will be a creche and kids area, with a fantastic full programme for children of all ages.

Getting there

To get there by public transport, you can get a train to Haywards Heath from London or Brighton, then take the 270 bus and ask the driver to let you off at Tanyards Lane, in Chelwood Gate. It's a short walk to the site – there will be signs to The Gathering site to follow. Alternatively car share click here.

Live in vehicles

No vehicles over 2 tonnes will be admitted. There will be a charge of £10 per campervan (a proportion of this charge will go to the eco-charities represented at the Gathering).

Car parking

There is a charge of £2.50 for the 5 day carpark, or £1 a day for car parking (a proportion of this charge will go to the eco-charities represented at the Gathering). Car Park gates will open at 9am and close daily at 9pm.
