Wittenham Charity Music Festival or Wittfest is held in the grounds of the Plough Inn, Long Wittenham, near Didcot, Oxfordshire and takes place from Friday 4th until Sunday 6th July. The event is a FREE music festival raising money for local charities.

There will be a wide range of musical genres on offer and plenty of opportunity to join in with all of the themed sessions throughout the festival weekend. The acts so far confirmed, with more still to be announced are:

Friday The Drones, BJ Blues Band, Cooper Black, Frottage, and Easy Tiger.
Saturday Urban Idyle, Sol, Maxine Ford, Rod Smith, Geoff and Linda, Accordionistas, Pete Orton, 5am Blues, Odeetee, John Thompson, The Drones, Ross and Gem, Creosote Brothers, The Empty Vessel, The Mighty Pint and a Half of Blues, and Slink.
Sunay The EMC Jazz Band, Cry Havoc, Gin Swing, Cornucopia, Short Drag Roger, Spire, Tomcats, and Shadowlands.

In addition to the main acts, there will also be themed 'joining in' sessions in the Family Room in the Plough. These will be on Saturday afternoon and (for the first time) also at lunch-time on Sunday. At other times, the room is available for spontaneous 'singarounds'/tune sessions.

There are also Outdoor Acoustic Sessions in the garden area which has numerous other attractions. The following sessions are also planned: Folk with Lucy, Jazz / Blues with Paul, Ballads with John, Tunes with Geoff and Linda, and Shanties with Short Drag Roger.

The festival starts on the Friday evening and runs until late Sunday afternoon. This year, the charities elected to receive our support are Helen House and ABC Against Breast Cancer charities.

As well as music there is a children's play area, food and drink available, a second hand bookstall, tombola, and tea tent.
