Now in their 9th year The Women in Tune Music Festival claims to be the first women's music festival in the UK. Situated in Lampeter, West Wales the festival is geared towards supporting female musicians and giving them the support and confidence to perform that they might not have received otherwise.
There will be a vast range of performances by female artists, mainly from the UK - as this year the festival is celebrating predominantly home grown talent. There will be a range of styles from classical to rock, folk to jazz, poetry to rap.
The festival will also be offering workshops in other related performing arts such as different forms of dance, poetry, writing, storytelling, theatre etc.
Open stage night gives members of the public the chance to get up on the main stage and perform.
There is free camping, free parking, and a cafe serving vegetarian / vegan food.
Artists include Cheryl Beer, Sera Rabbett, Tiny Tin Lady, The Tramadolls, Clare Summerskill, The Electric Landladies, The Mavron String Quartet, Jarmila Xymena Gorna, Beth Swain, Jan Allain, Meerkat, The Hot Flushes, Sarah Louise, Nicola Thomas, Lucy Ray, Encrujiada, and Cowin Lush.
Please note that this event is for women only. Tickets are priced at £29 for 1 day, £57 for 2 days, £82 for 3 days, £110 for 4 days, 135 for 5 days, or £165 for 6 days. Concession prices are also available. To book click here
