no Dolly

A news item has appeared on dollymania.net (not an official website, but perhaps as close as you'll get), which quotes her longtime friend and producer Steve Buckingham denying that she is to appear at this years Glastonbury.

He said "Dolly has no plans to return to the UK at this time and certainly has not scheduled any performances." He added that there was a concern that fans overseas may be purchasing tickets to the festival on the assumption that Dolly was to appear, and that efforts were being made to correct the erroneous reports.

We're not sure of the original source of this rumour. The first mention we have found of Dolly and Glastonbury was a jokey posting on the message boards of this site months ago. NME reported her as rumoured late last year, and it was heavily reported in the general media last week.
