Axwell, Utah Saints, and more to play Dance Island

Dance Island 2008 held on Saturday 5th July just outside of Ely, Cambridgeshire has announced new additions to the line-up.

Swedish house DJ Axwell and dance music pioneers Utah Saints are the latest acts to join the line-up for the Koolwaters house arena who will be joining local act The BeatThiefs.

The house line-up additions continue with Judgement Sundays resident Micky Slim, Deepgroove and Jaxson also added to the Koolwaters arena.
TrackItDown.net are giving 15 DJs the chance to play at Dance Island. Those wishing to enter just need to record a 20 minute DJ mix of the tracks that best represent them, upload it to a file transfer website and email the link to danceisland@trackitdown.net. The competition closes on 6th June and all styles of dance music will be considered.

The headliners for Dance Island are Audio Bullys, with Mauro Picotto, Agnelli & Nelson, Dave Pearce, Kutski, Andy Farley, K90, Audio Surgery, Ratpack, Slipmatt, Tidy Boys, Darren Styles, SY, Hixxy Storm, Whizzkid, Unity, DJ-X Lab4, Big Ben, Mark Sherry, Mark Doyle, Matt Collins, BeatThiefs, Lee Haslam, JB Project, Dan Stone, Paul Wilkerson, and Mark Hughes are the first names confirmed. For the line-up details as available please click here, the event, which will be set in 120 acres of private land is being billed as East Anglia's biggest electronic music event of the year.

The festival features five huge arenas, a massive outdoor stage, hosting both DJs and live dance acts who will be covering House, Hard Dance, Trance, Hardcore and Old Skool, as well as a fun-fair, a food village, a chill-out area and trade stalls.
