first headliners confirmed for three day festival on banks of Loch Ness

The headliners for the fourth Rock Ness held on the banks of Loch Ness, Scotland which will now be a three day festival held on Friday 12th until Sunday 14th June 2009 have been announced.

The Prodigy
Liam Howlett and The Prodigy promise an energetic set which will include hits 'Smack My Bitch Up', 'Breathe', and 'Firestarter', joining them will be duo Basement Jaxx, and rapper Dizzee Rascal.

The Ayrshire rock trio, Biffy Clyro will have Rock Ness crowds chanting, "Mon the Biffy!" and singing along to songs from their last album release 'Puzzle, as well as hit single 'Mountains', as well as tracks from their new album due for release next year.

Basement Jaxx, and Dizzee Rascal will play the main stage on the Saturday, with Biffy Clyro and The Prodigy playing on the Sunday.

Rock Ness has also announced that the main stage will play host to acts on Friday evening for the first time.

Thursday 11th and Friday 12th June will see goNorth once again return to Inverness to profile some of the best emerging bands and solo artists, many of whom will also take to the goNORTH Xposure stage at Rock Ness.

Ticket buyers can make a down payment of £30 and pay the balance later. A limited number of tickets at the Early Bird price of £115 for the two days including camping or at £100 without camping are also available. There will be day tickets available at a later date.
