three more acts announced for Wizard

A trio of acts have been added to this year's Wizard two day music and arts festival in the North East.

Appearing at the festival for the second time will be Alabama 3, who are joined on the bill by The Complete Stone Roses, and Peatbog Faeries who return to the event for the first time in 2008. They will all perform on Wizard's main stage over the weekend of Friday 27th and Saturday 28th August 2010.

Roy Thain, Wizard Festival director said, "Our bill is shaping up nicely and we are constantly adding great live acts that are renowned for giving very lively festival performances. Music fans who come to Wizard this year can expect a really varied line-up as we continue to respond to what we know the festival goers like to see. In 2009 we introduced a full line up of DJs and the feedback that we have had has been very positive so we will be announcing some of our DJ performers in the coming weeks. The festival is growing every year and we are becoming established as one of the UK's best small festivals and so there is no shortage of acts that are keen to perform for north-east music fans."

These three latest additions join the first act confirmed for 2010 - Saturday headliners Happy Mondays. Wizard Festival is yet to announce the other acts for the event's four stages of music that includes local musicians, DJ's, up and coming Scottish acts and some of the UK's top bands.

The festival also runs a full children's and young people's programme that includes, drumming workshops, arts and craft classes, magicians, hip hop master classes and MC workshops.

Fully serviced camping areas are available and there is a separate quiet camping area for families with young children. There is also a designated area for caravans and campervans.

The Wizard Festival, now in its fourth year, takes place at the New Deer Show Ground near Peterhead and Fraserburgh, North East Scotland.

Tickets are on sale priced at £70 for an adult weekend ticket (includes camping & parking from 1pm Fri to noon Sun) or £45 for a Saturday adult day ticket (includes camping & parking Saturday only), a campervan/caravan ticket is priced at £20. Children 12 years old and under go free.
