Blur are to play a special closing ceremony show in Hyde Park this summer to mark the end of the London Olympics.

The gig has been organised by BT London Live as part of a series of events to mark the Games and takes place on Sunday 12th August. Together with the opening ceremony it is the only paid for ticketed event as part of London Live which sees live music from artists from across the world taking to the stage each night until midnight each evening (Trafalgar Square will run until 11pm).
BT, Live Nation, the Mayor of London, The Royal Parks and the London Borough of Tower Hamlets have come together to present BT London Live, a huge celebration of sport, music and other entertainment in Hyde Park, Victoria Park and Trafalgar Square this summer as part of the city's London 2012 celebrations. Tickets for the event are priced at £55 and will go on general sale at 9am on Friday 24th February and eFestivals will have links to buy them then.
Tickets to the Opening Ceremony Celebration Concert will go on sale in March. Access on the other days to the BT London Live Hyde Park, Victoria Park and Trafalgar Square is free and you can just turn up to get in (subject to capacity), or you can guarantee early entry to the sites at Hyde Park and Victoria Park before 2pm by booking in advance.
