Allo Darlin', Darren Hayman, and Johnny Foreigner are the first acts confirmed for the second annual Now We Are Weekender the two day independent music festival celebrating the thrills, spills and bellyaches of indie-pop 'n rock.

Now We Are, which takes place over the bank holiday weekend on Saturday 25th and Sunday 26th May 2013 at The Public, New Street, in West Bromwich, promises to be bigger and better than before.

The festival will once again showcase some of the region's local acts and provide an opportunity to see touring acts from across the country. A co-promotion between London-based Funny Looking Cat and The Public, Now We Are 2013 promises to be bigger and better than before with further acts to be announced within the next few weeks.

The two day event will also include an array of handcrafted merchandise stalls and family friendly workshops for all ages to enjoy, and will also feature DJs from the UK indie club circuit spinning tracks in to the early hours, for festival goers determined to dust off their dancing shoes.

Linda Saunders, Managing Director of The Public said, "Last year's Now We Are Weekender was a huge success, attracting audiences from across the region. In 2013, the festival once again promises to showcase some of the region's finest artists and provide an opportunity to see some exceptional touring acts from across the country."

Emma Cooper, Manager of Funny Looking Cat added, "We're absolutely delighted to see the Now We Are Weekend return to The Public for a second year. In 2013 some of the best bands in the indie scene will be coming together at one of the most iconic venues in the Midlands, so we are certainly anticipating a weekend to remember."

Early bird tickets will be available throughout February priced at £16.50 or £10 for under 16s. Thereafter weekend passes will be £23 with day passes £16.50.
