Swedish metallers Amon Amarth are the first confirmed act for Woodstock Festival Poland, the massive, free open-air festival, organised by a Polish medical charity.

The event is a way of expressing gratitude to the supporters of the cause and volunteers.The festival promotes mottoes of love, friendship, tolerance, and social conscience.

Przystanek Woodstock is held in the beginning of August and attracts around 400,000 festival goers to the two stage event which is the largest open air event in Europe.

The 23rd edition takes place in Kostrzyn on the Oder, Poland over three days between Thursday 3rd and Saturday 5th August 2017.

Easily accessible via low-cost airlines, it's a great alternative if you fail to get your hands on the UK festival ticket you wanted.
