The festival which this year sold out for the seventh year running offers an amazing variety of entertainment, and already hosts nine diverse districts, more than 30 mini venues to be discovered and over 300 musical acts. So it's worth getting the tickets as soon as possible!

This arts, music, performance and theatre festival explores a whole range of different musical genres, and the sprawling metropolis provides a temporary haven of hidden surprises, pulsating music and immersive audio-visuals to allow each of its thousands of citizens to go on an ultimate voyage of discovery within the labyrinth-esque streets.

The festival organisers explain the narrative saying, "Boomtown is known for its ever evolving immersive storyline and Chapter 8 did not disappoint with a show-stopping theatrical takeovers infiltrating every corner of the festival, culminating the the ‘revolutionaries’ bringing down the ‘regime’ and declaring that 'Paradise belongs to us’ to bring the power back to the people. Boomtown ended with happy citizens, supposedly free of the tyrant's reign. However, whispers of what will unfold in Chapter 9: Behind the Mask have started circulating... Nothing has been announced as yet, but the stage is set for more twists and turns than ever before and with the structure of Boomtown’s society and economy hangs by in the balance… What secrets will be revealed when the Mask is unveiled?"

Chapter nine of the festival with an on going narrative for around 60,000 festivalgoers takes place at Matterley Estate, nr. Winchester, in Hampshire and will run from Thursday 10th until Sunday 13th August 2017.
