The line-up has been revealed on BBC Radio 2 this morning for BBC Proms in the Park, which returns for its 23rd edition to Hyde Park, London on Saturday 8th September.

The show will be headlined by Grammy award winning singer Gladys Knight, known for classic hits "Heard it Through the Grapevine" and "Midnight Train to Georgia".

She commented on her appearance at BBC Proms in the Park:

"I'm so excited to be performing at this year's BBC Proms in the Park, I love coming to the UK and always receive such a warm welcome. Performing on the Hyde Park stage as part of the Last Night of the Proms event has always been a dream of mine and I think it's a wonderful way to celebrate music in London!"

Also confirmed for this year are:- Lisa Stansfield, Matt Goss, Joseph Calleja, Josh Groban, and Rock Choir (pictured above).

Michael Ball will once again present the performances after his successful appearance last year, with Richard Balcombe returning to conduct the BBC Concert Orchestra

Broadcast live on BBC Radio 2, Proms in the Park is Britain’s largest outdoor classical music event and part of the annual spectacular culmination of two months of music-making at the BBC Proms, as the world-famous Last Night celebrations spill out from London's Royal Albert Hall and thousands of people come together at venues across the UK to be part of the magic of the Last Night.
