Electric Fields - CANCELLED 2019
Thursday 4th to Saturday 6th July 2019SWG3, 100 Eastvale Place, Glasgow, G3 8QG, Scotland MAP
currently £95 for the weekend
The 6th edition of Electric Fields has announced it's leaving Drumlanrig Castle, in Dumfries and Galloway, for a new home at SWG3 in Glasgow, still on the same dates of Thursday 4th until Saturday 6th July 2019.
The move is due to the rising costs of producing outdoor camping festivals and ongoing logistical issues. It will keep the full line-up already announced, and will still have multiple stages - both indoor and outdoor - along with the our Kids Electric area, plus street food and drink.
Festival director Nick Roberts said: "After spending the past 5 years putting on a quality outdoor music festival we found the rising costs this year have led us to reimagining how Electric Fields takes place for 2019. Although we leave Dumfries & Galloway with a heavy heart our new venue offers a very exciting opportunity for us to flex our creative muscle and put on an outstanding show in the heart of Glasgow. We will have our full line-up joining us, excellent food and drinks and of course tons to do for little ones with Our Kids Electric. We look forward to seeing faces old and new in July."
A few new acts have been announced today, who are Kyle Falconer, Iceage, The Lovely Eggs, Strange Bones, The Mysterines, Bill Ryder-Jones, The Cosmics, Pizzagirl, The Good Arms, The Kicklips, and Hot Mess. They join previously announced acts who include Metronomy, Frank Turner & The Sleeping Souls, The Vaccines, Friendly Fires, Sleaford Mods, Fat White Family, Nadine Shah, Skatalites, The Futureheads, Kero Kero Bonito, Malcolm Middleton, Free Love, The Spook School, Our Girl, Gently Tender, Heavy Lungs, Onr, FUR, Vistas, Honey Lung, Heavy Rapids, Squid, and many more, with more still to be announced.
