Auchinleck Alive and Kicking Festival 2011

Auchinleck "Alive and Kicking" Festival takes place from Friday 5th until Sunday 7th August 2011. The festival is held in Auchinleck, a small village in East Ayrshire (35 miles from Glasgow and 15 miles from Ayr).

Friday

AngelStar, JoDee, Eastwood, perform at The Railway Hotel - Tickets £5
Various other venues will have "free" music and there will be a Funfair in Main Street

Saturday

The Fureys & Davey Arthur with supporting acts Bobby McCallum, and Bletherskyte perform at The Indoor Bowling Club - Tickets £15
Craft Fair(TBC), Art Exhibition, Football(TBC) and Funfair will also provide entertainment.

Sunday

The day starts with an Ecumenical Church Service in the Parish Church, followed by a Gala Day in Merlin Park with lots of different activities and stalls.
The Art Exhibition and Funfair will still be there and the festival will end with a Dinner Dance at The Railway Hotel with Sonix, Paolo Martini as Paolo Nutini and Kevin Rodger as Michael Buble. Tickets for this event are £17.50 which includes a 3 course meal.

Accommodation

This event does not have camping but there are a number of hotels, hostels and guest houses in the area.
