The FREE Bloxham May Festival takes place at the village of Bloxham in Oxfordshire on Saturday 7th May 2011. The village festival is to celebrate the community of Bloxham and welcomes all. The festival is located in Old Bridge Road and surrounding establishments.

Line-up

There are no acts confirmed yet for 2011.

Entertainment

As well as music the festival will offer Morris Mellee, 'Have a Stab', a pair of stocks, artists, buskers, displays, dancers, wine Tasting, workshops, a barbecue, pig roast, stalls, a country market, Hook Norton Beer, and more.

Organisers are looking to close Old Bridge Road and part of Humber Street in front of the Elephant and Castle, from 8am to 6pm for safety reasons. As the 8th May is VE Day, they are hoping for a procession to the war memorial at 10am with the local cadets, Royal British Legion and a short service held by Rev Sarah Tillett.

Entertainments will start from around 10.15am at various locations. There will be stages in the car parks/beer gardens of the three pubs central to the festival. There will be a craft and farmers market in the street with all sorts of stalls.

For kids

The event will also have children's entertainment including a kids party with storytellers, dragons, stilt walker, juggler, and a balloon race.
