M-Festival 2011

Going for nearly five years now, the family orientated, charity event, M-Festival takes place on Saturday 6th and Sunday 7th August 2011 at Darton Cricket Club, Longfields, Church Street, Darton.

Line-up

The festival offers local unsigned bands along with the more established acts. Saturday's bill offers original music, and Sunday will be a showcase of cover and tribute acts.

Main Stage:TBC, Daystar, James Worton, Dirty Jeans, Penguin, The Tiny Giants, Rok.Ink, Skinboat, South View Juniors, Shamble Street.
Burn Down The Disco Stage: Alvarez Kings, The Glavins, Toba Caldera, The Kick, Silents, The Northern Swagger, The Velotones, Gypsy Toes, Finton Stax.
Alternative Stage: The Ocean Between Us, Hitomi, Redmist Destruction, Paint The Sky, Sea Of Lions, Ava Divine, Mirrors, Colour Me Stunned, Dislocator.
Love Music Hate Racism Stage: Better For Nothing, The Harringtons, My Friends In Vegas, Scarlet Sunset, Demographic, Exit Strategy.
Acoustic Stage: The Velcro Teddybears, Leon O'Doherty, Emily Stance, Bam Morgan, Jon Plant.

Tickets

Early Bird Tickets are available at the reduced price of £5 for the whole weekend, or just £3 for the day. They're on sale at this price for one month, and then will go to full price, £5 a day, or £8 for the weekend. Family tickets are also available at £8 for a single day, or £12 for the weekend. Full price £12 for the day, or £18 for the full weekend.

Charity event

Proceeds from the festival go to Barnsley Hospice.

Accommodation

This event does not have camping but there are a number of hotels, hostels and guest houses in the area.
