Going for nearly six years now, the family orientated, charity event, Coalfields Festival (previously M-Festival) takes place on Saturday 14th and Sunday 15th July 2012 at Darton Cricket Club, Longfields, Church Street, Darton.
Line-up
The festival offers local unsigned bands along with the more established acts.Saturday
Main Stage: Exit Calm, Richard Warren, The Glavins, Paul Nixon, Stellavision, The Velotones, and Shamble Street.Noise Delays Recovery Stage: Toba Caldera, Two Skies, This Condition, Black Lamps, The Silent Gestures, Northern Way.
Redmist Destruction Stage: Redmist Destruction, and more TBC.
Acoustic Stage: James Worton, and more TBC.
Sunday
Main Stage: John Thirkell (Spandau Ballet) with DJ Rusty Egan, TBC, Mynas, Finton Stax, Harrys Band, Pulp Friction.Burn Down The Disco Stage: Munich, Goldsoul, The Tiny Giants, Shermer, Without Our Crowns, Demographic, and more TBC.
Hitomi Stage: Hitomi, and more TBC.
Soul Tent: TBC - Northern Soul & Motown DJs from Yorkshire + the North.

Proceeds from the festival go to Barnsley Hospice.Accommodation
This event does not have camping but there are a number of hotels, hostels and guest houses in the area.More information will be here when available.
