Eastleigh Music Festival is a community festival held in the centre of Eastleigh town from Friday 11th until Sunday 13th July with the last day incorporating the Mela. Held over Leigh Road Recreation Ground the festival will include a Big Top covered stage and a mini top acoustic stage.
Confirmed acts for the weekend include Seth Lakeman, Nick Harper, Max Pashm, N'Faly Kouyate & Dunyakan and there are many more still to be announced.
As well as stalls selling fair-trade goods & Hampshire Fare produce there are extensive activities available for all ages throughout the day. There will be something to entertain everyone with a FREE open site during the day on Saturday and all day Sunday from 10am - 9pm. Ticketed concerts will commence in the evening on Friday and Saturday. Individually priced tickets are as follows:
Friday 11th July - Seth Lakeman, Nick Harper + support tickets are priced at £14 for adults and £8 for under 16's (Under 16s must be accompanied by an adult). to buy tickets for this event, click here.
On Saturday 12th July daytime a bill of local bands including Zwaitec, The Elements, The Craving, Jayet Al, The Bright Coals, El Rodeo, The Pheromones, Dlugoceki, Capital X, The Ashbies, The Sinnicks, Ryan O'Reilly, Polly and the Billets Doux, Thos Henley, Waiting for Sirens, My Hollow Tree, Kids Can't Fly, Virtue, Hours 'till Autumn, Rupture Farms and more play the FREE event.
Saturday evening's event sees performances from Lethal Bizzle, Robots in Disguise, Scarlet Soho & Shit! Hot Llamas with tickets priced at £10.
The Eastleigh Mela will be bigger this year, held on the Sunday, the event is FREE and includes music, dance, food, workshops and entertainment for all the family from all around the world. This year the Mela will be extended into the evening. The night is FREE and includes N'Faly & Dunyakan, Max Pashm & Kasbia Knights + many acts throughout the day including The Huckleberries & Tzee & the Africa Beyond Band.
