Southport Rocks is the new name for Jedi Music Festival and takes place at Victoria Park, Southport. The festival is a wholly independent event which is returning for its fifth year now, over 3 days with music and other activities on the Friday and Saturday, finishing late Sunday afternoon. The inclusive dates are Friday 8th and Saturday 9th of July 2011. The festival is organised to raise awareness of Sudden Adult Death Syndrome (SADS).

Line-up

The Futureheads, and The Lancashire Hotpots headline with Kid British, Tales of George, Kings of Lyon, Catfish And The Bottlemen, Sour Mash, Stagecoach, Ute, The Wild Eyes, SlyDigs, Richard O'Flynn, Dead Cities, Thief Technique, The Antarctic Monkeys, Cheap Cuts, Glassheads, Owls, The Secret Police, Berlin Berlin, and Stealing Sheep.

Tickets

Early bird weekend tickets are priced at £39 including camping are on sale (until sold out or 9am on 18th March). An early bird family ticket (two adults with three children) is priced at £78. A full priced weekend ticket will be priced at £49 including camping and full access to the event. A Friday day ticket is priced at £15, and a Saturday day ticket is priced at £20. Under 12s are free with a paying adult but must have a ticket. 16s and over can enter with a full price ticket. Under 16s must be accompanied by a paying adult. On site

There will be numerous food and drink suppliers with healthy options available. There will be numerous physical activities such as cage football, climbing walls, obstacle courses, rampworx BMX/Skateboarding ramps and Southport FC 'Beat the Goalie'.

Camping

There will be camping and Glamping with Tippee's and Mongolian Yurts available.

Charity

The festival is in support of Sudden Adult Death Syndrome and also as the Main fundraiser for the Vital Sounds Foundation. The VSF will be screening young people for undiagnosed heart conditions. This condition kills 12 young people every week in the UK alone! The festival also has a healthy lifestyle thread and is being supported by a number of companies and organisations.
