This FREE outdoor festival celebrates Asian arts and culture with a wealth of music and entertainment returns to Gunnersbury Park, Hounslow, in London to celebrate it's 11th year on Sunday 1st September 2013 from 1pm until 9pm.

The one-day event will feature nine 'zones' including The Main Stage, The BBC Asian Network Mix Tent, The Classical Stage, The Magic Mela Family Area, spectacular Outdoor arts performances, Tastes of South Asia Food market, Funfair, craft and exhibitors market, plus a new sports area featuring Skype Cricket Nets and Sporting Equals.

Line-up

Main Stage: AS Kang, Bally Sagoo, Falak, Nafees, Arjun, Raasmasters feat Absolute Bollywood Dancers, San2, Harshdeep Kaur, Superwoman.

Classical Stage: Amaan and Ayaan Ali Khan present 'Samaagam' in collaboration with The Philharmonia Orchestra.

BBC Asian Network New Music Stage: Lippi, Charlie Sloth, Pure Music Generals, Steel Banglez presents K&K, Cashtastic & Yungen, Arjun, and Lost Souljah.

Hosted by BBC Asian Network presenters Tommy Sandhu, Noreen Khan, Bobby Friction and Suzi Mann.

Mela

Mela is a Sanskrit word meaning 'to meet', used to describe all sorts of community celebrations and festivals in the Asian subcontinent. A long-standing tradition in South Asia, the Mela strengthens communities by bringing people together in a festival atmosphere where everyone can enjoy food, music, dance, and even a a fun fair.
